How verification works

Our promise is narrow and honest: we confirm specific, checkable facts against the authority that holds them, and we link you to that authority so you never have to take our word for it.

What “Verified” means

A verified badge on a profile means at least one credential has been confirmed against its issuing authority — a professional licensing board, a corporate registry, or proven control of a web domain. Each confirmed item appears in the profile’s verification matrix with a direct link to the source.

What it does not mean

It is not an endorsement of someone’s skill, character, or judgement, and it is not a government certification. K.Y.P. is an independent directory, not a regulator. We confirm records; we do not issue them.

What we check

Depending on the profile: a professional licence number against the regulator’s public register; a business registration against the corporate registry; and control of a stated website domain. Time-sensitive items such as licence renewals carry an expiry and are re-checked annually.

Consent and control

Every listing is created and owned by the professional it describes. Owners can edit or remove their listing at any time. We do not publish profiles about people who have not chosen to be listed, and we do not collect anonymous complaints about named individuals.
